I stand before my cluttered kitchen table and think about how often, we are told
go paperless. The tops of the stacks of advertisements, bills, receipts, envelopes all nod
in agreement.
Yes, we are in a new age. The Age of Paper Hypocrites. Do as we say, not as you feel is right.
Do everything online—pay online–bank online–order online to suit these companies.
But do they hesitate in sending you an endless stream of paper to your home? No.
All they do is send out ad after ad.
How many times do I want to buy windows, sell my home or invest in their nonsense?
Their hand is just out to get what little money you have—-and quick.
Go green—-give me a break. All they see is green—the quicker for their pockets.
Why is it if I pay a bill the old fashioned way by a check….I get a reminder….you can sign up and
let us dip our hands right into your bank account and get it. Just say thank you for paying–that’s all.
I know I can do it online. But many of these companies make mistakes—so make sure you
copy your transaction with them. Either make a copy of the paid bill online or copy your check to them.
So of course —you start another paper trail.
